IRP Volume #14 -
Non Water Based Drilling and Completions / Well Servicing Fluids

The scope of this document includes transportation to the site, the handling and use by field drilling and servicing personnel onsite, as well as the recommended equipment, personal protective equipment, and procedures. The examination was completed with pragmatic business sense applied to the safe use of these fluids with the primary focus on mitigating worker health hazards, fire and explosion hazard and damage to equipment, and with due regard for the environment.

The work involved drilling and completions/well servicing fluid product identification, hazard awareness, and guidelines for communication, training, and education of all parties involved. On-site field-testing at drilling and service rig operations was also conducted to measure airborne hydrocarbon and oil mist exposure levels for the various tasks and areas involved.
