Auditors
New Prerequisites for External Auditors
As per the approved motion by the Enform Board of Directors on
May 9, 2006, all new external auditor candidates will be required
to have a minimum of five years experience as a safety professional
in the past ten years, as well as either:
- successfully completing an approved post-secondary certificate,
diploma, or degree in occupational health and safety; or,
- maintaining certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)
or equivalent.
Starting June 30, 2010, all existing external Enform auditors
will require these credentials as well. If you are an existing
External Auditor, you have until June 30, 2010, to meet the new
requirements.
If not already on file, please provide the necessary documentation
to confirm that you have met the above noted standard, prior to
June 30, 2010. Copies of the necessary documents can be sent to corinfo@enform.ca.
Should you choose not to update your credentials, your
certification as an External Auditor will expire on June 30, 2010.
External auditors who do not meet the requirements before June
30th, 2010 will need to ensure that all
data collection activities (Documentation review, conducting
Interviews, conducting Observations) relating to Enform audits is
completed before June 30th, 2010. Auditors who do
not meet the June 30th, 2010 requirements will be
permitted to write and submit their audit reports to Enform within
the normal timelines if all data collection activities
were completed before June 30th, 2010.
